Designers

Language is critical in this stage. Arts and crafts projects are designed to stimulate communication as well as to refine motor skills. Children are made active participants in their learning by the communicating their ideas and feelings to their teachers and classmates. The Little House Learning Center Teachers guide the children along the way as they encounter new experiences with their environment and their identity.

Children in this stage are experimenting with mathematical concepts. They recognize patterns and develop the ability to correlate shapes. They begin to explore spatial relationships by completing simple puzzles and by coordinating geometric building blocks.

For this stage of development, our goal at The Little House is to provide an opportunity for children to develop their skills while being taught the meaning and importance of traits like self esteem, generosity, compassion, and gratitude.
