Children transition from individual exploration to group discovery and play. Our goal during this stage is to maximize this natural tendency and encourage relationships and teamwork that lead to the construction of knowledge.
Children are encouraged to participate in games that refine and enhance their coordination and motor skills. We focus on the core principles of group work such as respect, listening to others, sharing, and participation.
We strive to make the learning experience fun and inviting.
An open social space provides opportunities for children to express their ideas and recognize other children’s work. Children are introduced to art and music as avenues for self-expression and the development of motor skills. At The Little House Learning Center, children have access to diverse natural materials, which they use to build projects and to express their feelings and ideas as they continue to discover their own identity.
